The Ministry of Environment ordered the cancellation of all construction
works for building a drinking water implant at the Gadima Marble Cave.
However, this construction is almost over.

The Lipjan Commune had given permission for the construction of the implant, but it was opposed by the Ministry of Environment, which concluded that the implant would damage the cave.

But no concrete step has been taken for stopping the works that are damaging the Gadima cave.

However, the Ministry officials declared for Top Channels that the works were out of any allowed parameter, and the danger is still permanent.

The million year old cave is situated 30 kilometers south of Prishtina, and experts say that it is 80 million years old. It was discovered occasionally by local residents in 1969.
