Fahri Stërgu, from the Vranisht village, Devoll, protested with the
farmers who received support from the Democratic Party Parliament
Members.
He said that he was unable to sell apples, while the Korce Agriculture Director, Vullnet Gjolla, said they in the first phase of collecting local production and the sales are good.
But the images outside the national road show the contrary. Hundreds of tons of apples are waiting for buyers, while even bigger quantities have not been collected yet.
Fahri says he has collected half of the production and that there should be a price control. He counts the production cost, and says that the reason why there are no sales because merchants fear the absence of purchase bills.
While Devoll farmers keep adding more orchards, politicians keep discussing their problems without proposing any solution.
