More than one year after the amends of the “Antimafia” law, which
enables an investigation of assets for organized crime, corruption and
even for members of foreign advisory missions, new discussions are being
held for further amends.

The draft proposition was distributed by PAMECA 4, while the Euralius mission notifies President Bujar Nishani that the law amends should be adopted to the justice reform with the drafting of the Civilian and Criminal Codes.

Euralius says that both active and passive corruption are sides of the same coin, that’s why they should be both included.

The newer amends include husbands, children, brothers and sisters to the audit, while in laws and grandchildren are left out.

For the first time, the law includes asset seizing. The court also receives the right the summon the Director of Administration of Seized Assets.

The Prosecution of Serious Crimes is currently investigating seven cases.
