The Health Ministry declared that in the medicament scheme for several
infective or viral diseases, due to resistance, have returned
medicaments that had been removed 10 years ago.
Petrit Vasili declared that these are antibiotics such as bactrim and gentamicin, which are cheaper and very efficient for.
In the recent years has strongly increased the number of patients who are resistant to expensive medicaments, such as antibiotics or antiretroviral.
After making an appeal for the citizens, the Health Ministry declared that the pharmacists should also be involved in the resistance of anti-microbes. Vasili declared that the pharmacies should respect law and not sell antibiotics without prescription.
The Health Ministry and the World Health Organization will will sign an agreement for a two-year plan that will aim to reduce the number of patients who are resistant to medicaments, treating the medical personnel for prescribing medicine with efficiency, and for making the citizens aware for consuming medicine only on doctor’s advise.
