Albania will have a new anti-terror structure, among the biggest in the
region, which will focus on giving a special attention to the fight
against terrorism and prevention of recruitments by ISIS. This new
structure built by the Ministry of Interior fulfills the standards of
Euro-Atlantic countries.
Top Channel has secured a copy of this order, which says that this directory was built after making an evaluation of the situation in our country and in the region, and after seeing the fact that Albania is member of the anti-terror international coalition.
Police experts say that there is an increasing tendency of the religious, nationalist, ethnic and political radicalization.
One of the immediate duties of this structure is stopping any citizen from joining ISIS and the explosions that were classified as terror acts.
Together with the Anti-Terror Directory there will be a safe system for transmitting information and investigating terrorist acts. There will also be an identification of criminal groups through analytic methods.
The Anti-Terror directory will depend from the Police Directory and due to its specifications, there will be no headquarters at the Police. It will be expanded in 12 districts, with the main focus on Tirana.
