Introducing the changes in the pandemic Normative Act for nightclubs and their penalties, the Minister of Health and Social Protection Ogerta Manastirliu, stated that the nightclubs became foci of the spread of infection and that every measure will be taken and evaluated in order to maintain the health of citizens.
“The imposition of increased penalties for nightclubs, discos or any kind of service of this nature, is a measure taken to protect the health of citizens. This is because they have become potential hotbeds of infection. Young people are becoming vectors of spreading the infection to other ages, parents, the elderly or the weakest. The obligation that is imposed now through this Normative Act, not only determines the increase of the penalty measure but also evaluates a suspension for a period of 1 year in cases when these subjects do not obey this law “, said Manastirliu.
Assessing that the adoption and approval of this normative act means to strengthen legal instruments in order to implement anti-Covid measures, Manastirliu added that a plan of measures for autumn-winter is being prepared, in case of increase in number of cases.
