The German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, landed in Tirana’s airport at
13:50 and then was received at the Prime Minister’s office by Edi Rama.
After hearing both national anthems, Rama and Merkel went to the Prime Ministeral Hall for a 45 minute meeting between both delegations and will then appear in a joint press conference.
Merkel is expected to meet with the President Bujar Nishani, and then will visit the Economic Conference at the Tirana Business Park, where Merkel will hold a speech that will be also the conclusion of her visit.
The Police has announced very strict security measures in all Tirana roads..
