The Ambassador of the EU delegation to Tirana, Romana Vlahutin, has completed her mission in Albania. Today, on the last day of her term, she sent a message to Albania and its people.
Ambassador Vlahutin: “Today is the last day of my mandate as the EU Ambassador to Albania. I will forever be grateful for the privilege to work for the benefit of Albania and Europe.”, she says on her social networks.
“Albania is walking steadily towards its rightful place in the European Union I can only wish you strength and determination to reach this goal as soon as possible. As for me personally, it has been an incredible gift to share my life with good people, and have Albania as my home for the last four years. Thank you”, the EU Ambassador says.
Romana Vlahutin’s four-year term in Albania has been while our country’s political life was going through a hard and important period of reforms, all part of the EU integration path.
Vlahutin and the US Ambassador, Donald Lu, whose term has also expired, have been very active in Albania’s efforts to implement the judiciary reform, which included very important and difficult steps.
