Ambasador Donald Lu visits Elbasan

The US Ambassador to Tirana, Donald Lu, visited the city of Elbasan
today, as his first trip from Tirana. Lu was received by the Mayor of
Elbasan, in a meeting where they discussed about the city and its future
development.
Lu said that he chose Elbasan as his first trip, based on the history of the town.
“I am very happy that I started my first trip outside the capital in Elbasan. The rich history of Elbasan and its beauty are well known”, he said.
The Mayor of Elbasan, Qazim Sejdini, underlined: “I want to thank the Ambassador for chosing Elbasan. We talked about the city’s problems, the further plans, the elections and other daily problems. I have said that Elbasan will change in the next four years”.
The US Ambassador and the Mayor of Elbasan then visited the Education Monument and the ruins of the basilicate near the Bezistan area.
The Ambassador heard the history of Aqif Pasha and visited the neighborhood of the citadel.
