The leader of the Democratic Union for Integration, the biggest Albanian
party in Macedonia, said that the country should form a new government
as soon as possible to avoid what is currently happening in Ukraine
The BDI leader rebuked the claims of President Ivanov and VMRO, who said that the platform of Albanian parties was decided by Tirana.
“The joint declaration was drafted in Skopje, not in Tirana. It is not right to use this declaration to encourage inter-ethnic conflicts between Macedonia and Albania. This declaration does not damage the territorial integrity of Macedonia”, he said.
Ahmeti met with Mogherini, and reiterated her same message: “I expect Ivanov to withdraw his rushed decision and authorize Zaev for the new government”, he added.
