The Socialist MP, Alfred Peza, reacted against the Prosecution’s
decision to seize the shares of his wife in a second-level bank, as part
of an investigation started against him.
Peza said in Parliament that he was not being investigated as an MP, but as a journalist.
“The Prosecution has also proven that my wealth has not increased after I became an MP. This must be very clear, because it is an uncontestable fact. I am being investigated as a journalist, not as an MP. This means that the Prosecution has no problem with the politician and MP Alfred Peza, but they are investigating journalist Alfred Peza. This is unprecedented. The Proecution is now investigating how a journalist has made his wealth. They could have easily done it in 2012”, he declared.
