The former leader of the Self-Determination Movement, Albin Kurti,
accused Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama of asking his Kosovo
counterpart to change opinion about the border demarkation with
Montengro.

“We heard that Mr.Rama is asking Mr.Haradinaj, the actual Prime Minister of Kosovo, to change his stance about the border demarkation with Montenego. Rama is asking hi to change his stance and go against what is proven in maps and official documents, and even by people’s memory, and against what has been requested by a massive citizen petition. He is asking him to support an unfair agreement that would strip Kosovo of 8200 hectares of its territory”, Kurti’s message says.

Rama’s answer came very quickly, again on social networks. He reminded Kurti that Rama did not give away maritime borders, let alone land borders. Rama adds that borders are not decided by opinions.

“Dear Albin. Facts are not opinions and borders are not determined by opinions. As for the land, I would remind you that I didn’t agree to give away maritime territory, let alone land”, Rama wrote.
