Albania’s Football Federation case to UEFA

The Albanian Football Federation informed the media and the public
opinion about the materials that were presented at the UEFA Discipline
Committee for the Serbia-Albania match.

The declaration says that the players of Albania were victims of the physical and verbal violence by racist slurs. The FSHF (Albanian Football Federation) says that they sent a special request to UEFA this Monday for being involved in the open procedure for enlarging the accusations of Serbia as an organization country.

“All these violations have been proven through footage and medical reports that were submitted to UEFA. The Albanian football players did not refuse to play, but it was impossible to continue the game due to direct physical and psychological attacks brought by the Serbian fans, the security workers and from the Serbian football players themselves, in some isolated cases”, the FSHF declaration says.

FSHF lists these violations at the report for the UEFA security delegate.

1.Lack of necessary security on the field,
2. Unacceptable behavior from fans,
3. Poor management of the stadium
4. Bad conditions until verifying the fact that police was unable to protect players and referees.

“As result of these four elements, it is clear the the host was unable to guarantee equal conditions for continuing the game”, the declaration says.

The Commission of Discipline will gather this Thirsday, October 23rd. The FSHF want to reject the accusations raised against them.

FSHF also wants to reject the accusation about the banner, based on four facts:

1. The stadium had no Albanian fans besides the football players and the delegation.
2. Football players and members of the delegation were searched by the police before entering the match, and no remote control for the helicopter was ever found.
3. The banner arrived from the southern area, which was full of Serbian fans who have not been searched by the police, since they had brought plenty of political banners, solid objects and even a metal barrel.
4. For all these reasons it is impossible to find the author of the incident, or even prove that he is Albanian (the map on the banner is wider than the territory of Albania)

As result, the FSHF informs that they might appeal the UEFA decision at the Court of Sportive Arbitrage.
