Albania’s bunkers on National Geographic

The Bunkers of Albania were in the focus of National Geographic’s “Travel” section.
The article says that bunkers were once used by the regime communist, which feared a possible attack. But today there is another purpose.
“However, Albanians, being pragmatic by nature, are giving these objects a new life as restaurants, cafes and even museums”, Alex Crevar writes.
Such examples can be found anywhere. In Shkoder, a former bunker has turned into a tattoo parlor.
In Kavaja they have turned into a fast-food shop, and n Golem a hotel with 20 rooms.
In Tirana, the article continues, there are two museums shaped as bunkers that welcome thousands of visitors.
