Albanians who have worked and lived in Italy will be able to receive pensions, based on the contribution that they have paid.
The director of the office opened by the Italian state in Albania say that the right comes from the Italian law of pensions.
“The contributive system starts from january 1st, 1996. The retributive system includes pensioners who started working from 1990 to 1991, when the first flux of immigrants started”, declared Beskida Aliaj, Director of the Patronato INAS CISL Albania.
“The first condition is that these people should be 66 years and seven months old, before receiving pension from Italy. The second condition is a minimum of five years of contribution”, Aliaj explains.
“These people will also have to unregister from the commune where they used to live before, show family revenues, a fiscal code and an ID”, Aliaj concludes.
