Albanians are the most discriminated communities in the German job market, based on a study published by the Scientific Center for Social Studies, WZB, based in Berlin.
WZB created some fictive candidates, born in 1992, in Germany; with German citizenship, raised and educated in the German. What made them different was the origin of their parents.
“6000 fictive applications were sent for eight different professions. The data were analyzed based on the reaction”, writes Der Spiegel.
The result was that the applicants with German parents received a positive response in 60% of the cases. The non-German applicants received in 51% of the cases.
Spanish applicants received 73%, topping even German applicants.
