Emmanuel Egbo, former goal-keeper and now member of the Tirana Football Club, on Top Channel’s morning show “Wake Up”, revealed details about his wedding with his Philippine spouse, Fabia Egbo.

“We met four years ago in a church, because we are both Catholics. She used to visit it frequently with the Philippine community. We have been together for two years”, Egbo said.

Fabia said she didn’t expect Egbo to ecome her husband when they first met: “I didn’t think he would be my future husband, but I started to know him better after every Sunday. I didn’t give an immediate answer after his proposal, because we are a bit different. He is very serious and I am always smiling”, Fabia said.

Egbo then said they held a very Albanian wedding. “We threw money and made an Albanian style wedding because there are similarities even in Nigeria. There were 170 guests. We didn’t take an orchestra, because we wanted a simple wedding, but we honked our car horns on the way, same as they do in Albania. We even fired some weapons in the air. I have spent half of my life here. I have Albanian citizenship. It couldn’t be a different kind of wedding”, he said.
