Albanian students attacked in Macedonia

After some Albanian students were attacked by Macedonian basketball fans, police said that they interrogated 30 of them.
Authorities didn’t release any official comment for the press, but they didn’t deny the information neither. The attack might have happened after the former KLA commander, Talat Xhaferri, was appointed in the direction of the Defence Ministry.
As for the incident, Ombudsman Ixhet Memeti asked the competent institutions to undertake thorough investigations for finding the authors.
The Albanian students were attacked this Thursday by dozens of unidentified persons.
The attackers were masked and armed with solid objects and knifes. Three of the Albanian students received bad injuries and were hospitalized.
They declared that the attackers were speaking in Macedonian language and that the police arrived 40 minutes after the incident.
They claim the police did nothing to find the attackers, but only collected their declarations.
The Head of the Haracina commune stated that this violence is planned with the intent to destabilize the situation and intimidate ethnic Albanians.
