NATO allies have given maximal evaluations for the contribution of the Albanian Armed Forces in joint missions.
This fact has been confirmed by the Defense Minister, Olta Xhacka, who attended the NATO Ministerial in Brussels on November 8th and 9th.
“The NATO ministerial and the meeting with General Secretary Stoltenberg, but also with counterparts from Britain, Italy, Turkey, Canada, Latvia and Croatia, with whom our troops operate in some areas of hot conflicts, have praised the contribution of the Albanian men and women, who makes our proud with their professionalism and dedication in all missions, but mainly in Afghanistan and the Aegean Sea, saving this way people’s lives and projecting security for the conflicted countries and for the alliance”, Xhacka said.
The Minister reconfirmed the commitment of the Albanian government to fulfill all NATO obligations and take the defense budget at 2% of the GDP by 2024.
