After 15 years of working as a migrant in Greece, Edmond Dyrma from the village of Selitë in Cerrik invested all the experience he gained abroad in the farm in his village.

Today, he counts about 15 thousand turkeys and chickens, in the largest chicken farm in Elbasan District.

“I started with a lot of effort to get here. I am very satisfied. I started with 3 thousand heads, now I have increased it, I have many requests. In total, we reach 15 thousand birds”, says Dyrma.

Along with his family membes, Edmond takes care of the family business and seeks to expand it further as the demands are many. He is thinking of hiring other people to help him handle the job.

“There is a market that is in demand, but workers are needed. If you don’t enjoy it, you can’t do this, I have a passion for this job. There are times when I stay up until 2 am working”, adds Dyrma.

Edmond has created suitable conditions for raising poultry, while adding that he has never applied for support from the state, but has built everything with his own efforts.
