For the local elections on May 14, not only the State Police, but also the Prosecutor’s Office has been on alert.
During an interview for TCH, the head of the prosecution Olsian Çela explained that he ordered reinforced service and the presence of prosecutors in the field, until the Central Election Commission announces the final result.
“There is a general instruction for the election process regarding the activities of the Prosecutor’s Office.
We have asked all prosecutors’ offices of judicial districts to show increased activity throughout this phase, which means an increase in cooperation with all other law enforcement agencies, secondly, it requires a maximum commitment of prosecutors by giving priority to cases that are related to the field of elections”, said Çela.
According to this circular, prosecutors are ordered to directly supervise the investigations and use special means on reports where the violation of free elections is claimed.
