The President of Albania, Ilir Meta, received a delegation from the US
Senate, led by Senator Roy Blunt, who are attending fact-collecting
visits in several Balkan countries.
The US Senators valued the excellent relations and strategic partnership between both countries, and praised Albania’s contribution in NATO and also its peacekeeping role in the region.
The conversation focused also on the US Vice President visit in Montenegro, and his clear messages regarding security in the region and coordination for the global fight against terrorism.
President Meta underlined that security is the base of prosperity and development in the region, that is why cooperation against terrorism and organized crime with the USA and NATO is decisive for a safer future.
