An international operation against traffics was carried out throughout Europe, with the participation of the Albanian police.
The operation called “Ciconia Alba” was organized by Europol and its main focus was in Germany, where Albanian officers were sent on terrain with German colleagues.
A press release says that 52 states were part of this one-week operation, and five agencies specializing on the fight against organized crime.
2.3 tons of cocaine were seized after the operation, together with 181.550 EUR. 529 people were saved from traffic networks. The number of arrested people mounts up to 314.
The operation was commanded by an operational center based in Hague, the Europol’s HQ. The State Police has also contributed by exchanging information with partner agencies.
