Albanian PM and Finance Minister meet business owners after tax cut

The new fiscal package that entered in effect this January 1st foresees a cut of the tax on profit, from 15% to 5%, for businesses with an annual turnover from 8 to 14 million ALL.

Accompanied by the Minister of Finances, the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, visited one of the businesses that benefit from the tax cut.

“The tax is reduced to one third. This is a very important cut that starts with small businesses. We have continued this with agricultural businesses, reducing the personal income tax as well”, Ahmetaj declared.

According to the Albanian Prime Minister, the tax cut will lead to more jobs and better salaries for the private sector.

Rama also underlined that the number of students who chose professional education over universities also needs to grow.
