If President George Ivanov does not mandate the new government in Macedonia, violating the Constitution, then the majority in Parliament have the right to vote for it, Ziadin Zela, leader of the LR-PDSH party, suggests as a way of overpassing the current political crisis in the country.
The newly formed coalition composed by SDSM of Zoran Zaev and the Albanian parties intends putting President Ivanov on pressure by notifying him to attend the plenary session when the new government will be formed.
Zaev met yesterday with BDI leader Ali Ahmeti and Besa Movement leader Bilal Kasami to discuss the strategy. German newspaper “Die Tagespot” writes Macedonia has entered now in a constitutional crisis with no solution in the near future.
US ambassador Jess Bailey urged parties to overcome the hurdles. “It is important democratic institution to function and it exactly there where the solution lies”, he said.
