The Democratic Union for Integration, the biggest Albanian party in
Macedonia, decided to be part of the new government with Zaev’s LSDM,
although President Ivanov did not mandate their leader to form the new
government.
According to the INA news agency, the Spokesperson for the DUI, Bujar Osmani, said this was done to respect the will of Albanians.
Osmani appealed President Ivanov to authorize Zaev form a government with the new Parliamentary majority, which has the signatures of 67 Parliament Members.
“We appeal Mr.Ivanov and political parties in Macedonia to be mature and careful with their declarations, so that they don’t endanger the common future of the Macedonain citizens”, Osmani declared.
Ahmeti had warned that they would not withdraw from what Ivanov called a platform, which in fact is an agreement based on the programs of both parties. He added that there is no place to compromise, now that the Ochrid agreement is in play.
