The Democratic Party and the Socialist Movement for Integration did not attend today’s parliamentary session but decided to meet with their MPs in Durres instead.

The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, said that the parliament is going to reject today the presidential decree that stops a law for lower taxes on gambling businesses.

“23% is the tax for honest businesses. For gambling shops, it will be lower. They came to power promising to close gambling shops, but their number has increased. You should ask Agron Xhafaj (the Interior Minister) and Olsi Rama (Edi Rama’s brother) why this happened”, Basha declared.

“Starting from tomorrow, the DP will publish shocking facts showing that Rama and Xhafaj have used their political power to help gangs strengthen their grip on gambling businesses, using them to launder drug money”, Basha added.

The DP leader said that Prime Minister Rama is visiting New York to steal the territory of the Albanian consulate there, and build a skyscraper on its place.
