The leader of the Albanian Muslim Community, Skender Brucaj, said on Top Channel’s morning show “Wake Up” that Tirana’s new mosque is not being built with money from the Turkish government.
“The first request for a new mosque was made to the Turkish Muslim Community since 1938. It was repeated in 1993, followed by an agreement with the Turkish Muslim Community. Since then, the community started collecting aid for the construction of this mosque”, Brucaj said, confirming that it is not being built with money from the Turkish government, but from the Turkish devotees and their community.
