Hahn: “Albanian language in Macedonia, not an EU priority”

The EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Johannes Hahn, said that the law for official languages of Macedonia is a very reasonable request, but it is not part of Brussels’ priorities in their requests for Macedonia’s EU integration.

Macedonian PM Zoran Zaevmade it clear that the authorities must determine the priorities for which they will receive a positive evaluation from Brussels.

For Hahn, it is important for the government to focus on the necessary laws and criteria that are needed to secure a positive recommendation.

Hahn starts in Macedonia the new campaign: “We believe in you, invest in you, EU for you”, which supports employment, education and social involvement, all funded by IPA, the operative program for human resources 2007-2013.
