The labor market in Albania is looking for employees, but surprisingly they are not found anymore.
The retirement of older craftsmen and the rising expectations of young people about working pay and conditions, is making the market face an employee crisis.
“The greatest demand for employment is in the construction sector. Other sectors are stable, we do not have a decline in employment in a certain sector, but we have the same situation as before, the boom is only in construction”, says employment expert Erald Pashaj.
In order to orient young people towards vocational education as an opportunity that will lead them to secure employment, the Ministry of Education has decided that until the month of December, 10th grade students who want to choose a trade , can be transferred from gymnasium to vocational schools.
“Really, professional education has been given a great focus, but it has not received a response from the students. But these initiatives are good for those youngsters who do not want to attend gjeneral high school or higher education but want to get a profession”, adds the expert.
