The Secretary General of the Albanian Interfaith Council, Gent Kruja, in a statement for Top Channel, gave a message to the society but also to the politicians.
Asked by journalist Anila Hoxha what is his message for the citizens in this time of pandemic, he stated: “Our message is that for the whole of the society this is a time for reflection, to see what we can improve in ourselves and in our families, as in this way the Albanian society will also improve”.
He added that the Albanian state should pay more attention to institutions which at this time of crisis need more investment, such as health system.
“The needy are more affected at this time. They have been helped for years by religious communities, which have the best database for the identification of families in need “, said Kruja.
He also had a message for politicians: “The message for politicians is to get their attention to the citizens, not just to themselves.”
