Albanian government, €16 mln loan for repairing an unfinished road

The Albanian government has approved an agreement for the emergent reparation of the Tirana-Elbasan road.

The government will take a €16 mln loan from the OPEC Fund for International Development. The purpose of the fund is to repair the massive rocks that fell on the road after a landslide.

The construction of the Tirana-Elbasan road started many times ago. The Kerraba tunnel was inaugurated in Spring 2013, but the remaining works have been constantly postponed.
