The Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Kotzias, left to be
understood that their pressure was making Albania withdrawing from the
urban requalification plan of Himara, an Albanian town with Greek
citizens, where Greece claims that the expropriations of their citizens
are illegal.

Albanian Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati was live tonight on Top Story, and he left to be understood that the plan will continue.

“The stance of the Albanian government is very clear, and we will implement the law equally throughout our territory. The Foreign Ministry didn’t react, not due to negligence, but because this project is led by the Ministry of Culture and goes beyond Himara. It is a technical process and the Albanian law has its rules about expropriations. Citizens who are not happy about them can complain at courts for a better compensation”, the Minister declared.

When asked by Sokol Balla if by removing the War Law, the Property Regime for the Cham population would be affected, Bushati said that the War Law affects only the Property Regime for properties that were seized after the war, for other Albanian citizens.
