Albanian Foreign Minister: “Croatia, same as Italy, will reject Morina’s extradition to Serbia”

The Albanian government is determined to find a solution to the case of
Ismail Morina. They hope that the Croatian authorities will take in
consideration the precedent of Italy.
“There is a precedent in Italy, because Serbia has demanded another extradition from Italy, but it was rejected. We believe that Croatia will follow this precedent”, said the Albanian Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati.
For Minister Bushati, after the meeting of Prime Ministers in Podgorica, the Croatian authorities have understood now the danger that Morina faces in Serbia.
“It has been our concern since day one, knowing the unfortunate history that caused the event in Belgrade and how the relations between Albania and Serbia were escalated. We believe that the communication with the Croatian authorities was clear as regards the consequences that would come after an illogical decision regarding the case in question”, Bushati said.
