Snow in areas around Athens has reached 1 meter, creating many problems for citizens, such as power cuts.
An Albanian family in the Kapandriti area, asked Top Channel for help, as they were isolated by more than 1 meter of snow.
Armand Sula, the husband of this family from Karbunara, Lushnja, sent us pictures from the area he lives. He claims that they were totally isolated, without electricity and without any other assistance.
Top Channel communicated with the civilian protection, who admitted that there are problems in the Kapandriti area, and that the road will be unblocked in the hours to come.
This cold has covered with snow even some Aegean islands, something that didn’t happen for more than 20 years.
One Paki emigrant in the Rodos island was found dead, while two others were sent to hospital in serious health conditions.
