The death of the 29-year-old Albanian inside a Greek Police precinct
will be investigated by the Lezhe Prosecution, where relatives filed an
official crime report.

The Prosecution ordered a medical examination of the body 11 days after his death. Sources from the Coroner’s Office said for Top Channel the victim has blunt trauma which suggest he has fallen from heights, but also wounds similar to cigarette burns.

The Albanian Ambassador to Greece, Dashnor Dervishi, said in an interview for Top Channel that they contacted the Greek Police for detailed information on the events that led to the death of the 29-year old.

Dervishi said the entire scene was recorded by the building’s security cameras, but Greek authorities refused to make them available before the investigation is over.

Ombudsman Igli Totozani also wrote a letter to his Greek counterpart, urging him to look into the investigations of this case.
