The Albanian Council of Ambassadors don’t agree with the decision of the acting Foreign Minister to fill diplomatic vacancies with students of excellence.
For the Council, the diplomatic service needs to be consolidated with experienced career diplomats, and that students, despite being excellent, remain students, without the necessary experience and knowledge.
“The Council of Ambassadors appeals the Foreign Minister to respect the law in question and review it the soonest possible, so that we can detach the service once and for all from undeserved appointments that only damage our diplomatic body”, the reaction says.
