The Albanian weightlifter, Briken Calja, won the Weightlifting European Championship in Romania, receiving three gold medals.
Calja succeeded with all three races, taking first place for Snatch, for Men’s 69 kg category.
The Albanian champion was also first in Clean and Jerk, with 175 kg.
He was unrivalled for the two-race, with 321 kg.
“I am very happy. I dedicate my success to my family, my friends and all Albanians”, Calja said after the race.
The other Albanian weightlifter, Arber Cercizi, was seventh. He lifted 135 kg with the first test and failed in the two others of 141 and 142 kg.
