Albanian books will go to faraway Albania, where there are around 14,000 Albanians, according to statistics.

This was the focus of the meetings held by the Albanian Minister of State for the Diaspora, Pandeli Majko, with high-level officials in Canberra, Australia.

This is the first visit of a high-level official for the Albanian community in Australia. Minister Majko expressed his gratitude to local authorities for the high standards offered in the procedures for treating immigrants, saying that integrity and preservation of identity are not in conflict with each other.

Greeting the decision to include Albanian language in the school system where there are more Albanians, such as Melbourne, Majko asked the Director for Europe and Asia at the Education Department, Mr.Craig Johnson, to cooperate with the project for distributing Albanian language books in Australia and enabling them online.

The Australian high-level official praised the initiative of the Albanian and Kosovo governments and expressed his readiness to help to realize this project.
