Albanian artists perform in Vatican for Mother Theresa’s proclamation as saint

A magnificent concert dedicated to Mother Theresa was held at the
Basilica di San Paolo Fuori le Mura”, in Vatican, where world’s most
renowned Albanian artists have performed.

In this concert was played the hymn of Mother Theresa, “Valsi Hyjnor”, written by Lorenc Antoni, with verses from the poetry “Farewell”, written by Mother Theresa during her travel from Ireland to Calcuta. The hymn was sang by soprano Inva Mula, accompanied by the Philarmony and Chorus of Kosovo, with orchestrants from Albania and Macedonia.

Part of this concert were world’s most renowned artists, such as Rita Ora, Inva Mula, Ermonela Jaho and Saimir Pirgu.

Rita Ora sang with Saimir Pirgu “What Child is This”. Ermonela Jaho sang “Panis Angelicus”, written by Saint Tomaso d’Aquino.

Present in this concert was the former captain of the Albanian National football team, Lorik Cana, who held the opening speech together with Rita Ora in Albanian.

Present in this concert are the Albanian President, Bujar Nishani, PM Edi Rama, Speaker Ilir Meta and former PM, Sali Berisha.
