The Albanian Minister of Interior, Fatmir Xhafaj, attended a visit in Macedonia where he was received by his counterpart, Oliver Spasovksi.
Both Ministers signed a cooperation protocol for the fight against terror, which was finalized by experts from both countries. Minister Xhafaj underlined the importance of this cooperation.
“The matters that we discussed, regarding the fight against terror and organized crime, contribute to peace and safety not only in our countries but also in the entire region”, Xhafaj said.
One of the matters that were discussed was the establishment of a Regional Police Cooperation Center for Western Balkan.
This project, proposed by Xhafaj, has received support from various EU countries, from European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship, Dimitris Avramopoulos, and Minister the Macedonian Interior Minister, Oliver Spasovski.
