The Canadian airplane that will transport ammunition from Albania to
Iraq, has been visited today by the Albanian Minister of Defense, Mimi
Kodheli and the Foreign Minister of Canada, John Baird.
The Minister visited the loading process and discussed with the Canadian crew, congratulating them for their commitment.
The Minister encouraged the cooperation with Canada as in the defense sector by intensifying the training of the Albanian military.
Minister Baird underlined that Canada values the contribution of Albania in this important operation for the democracy and the future of the Iraqi people.
Other NATO airplanes will land in Albania to transfer 22 million bullets and thousands of AK-47 rifles that will be given to the Kurdish forces in Iraq.
