Albania has turned into one of the economies with the lowest crediting
level in the region. The conclusion comes from a Special Report of the
Bank of Albania, which analyzes the crediting tendencies in Central and
Southeastern Europe.
According to the report, the entire region is facing an anemic growth of loan. Some countries, including Albania, are experiencing a drop of this indicator.
The situation of Albania results problematic especially for business loans.
If central European countries have loans increased with 5% in August, in Albania it has dropped with 8%.
To compare them, the Bank has calculated these figures with real values, which means they have been removed of the exchange rate and inflation effects.
Loans have dropped for all Balkans, although the average is lower than that of Albania. Compared to every specific country, Albania is among the three countries with the biggest drop, leaving behind only Bulgaria and Serbia.
