Albanian Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Ogerta Manastirliu introduced today the amendments to the law “On Medical Devices”, saying that increased monitoring will bring more safety to patients.
“For the first time is planned registering medical appliances by class and category as soon as they enter Albanian customs. It is a significant change that will develop in terms of registration, licensing of medical equipment, certification deadlines, all based on the best international practices,” she said.
Manastirliu said one of the innovations is the checks on aesthetic medicine equipment and materials.
“For the first time we include in the categories of medical equipment elements related to aesthetic materials or equipment, which have been unregulated in the market before, ”Manastirliu said during her address to the Assembly
