The Ministers of Education and those of Diaspora from both Albania and Kosovo met to discuss education in Albania language for children of the Albanian Diaspora.
The Albanian Minister for Diaspora, Pandeli Majko; the Albanian Minister of Education, Lindita Nikolla; the Kosovo Minister for Diaspora, Dardan Gashi; the Deputy Minister of Education, Heset Sahiti; discussed the agreements reached so far between Albania and Kosovo on this matter.
They decided to create a joint centre for the Diaspora, based in Prishtina, which will coordinate the publishing and distribution of textbooks for teaching in Albanian.
Minister Majko said that the meeting was very productive, taking two very important decisions between both governments within a very short time.
The Albanian Minister of Education, Lindita Nikolla, said that the efforts to guarantee Albanian language teaching for children from Kosovo and Albania will not be done separately.
The Kosovo Minister for Diaspora, Dardan Dashi, expressed his pleasure that concrete steps are being taken after the agreement between both Prime Ministers.
