AHC: Miners’ strike, legal

Albanian Helsinki Committee reacted for the situation at the Bulqize
mine, emphasizing that the mineworkers’ requests should be resolved
through serious and transparent dialogue, emphasizing the fact that the
procedures have been dragging their feet.

“We are concerned for the health of the miners”, declared AHC.

Meanwhile, the strike continues in the deep underground of the galleries on its 22nd day. The only change is that the 10 miners left due to their health problems and were replaced by 10 others.

The miners that left the strike had severe problems with their view, now under medical care.

The head of the syndication, Kol Nikolla appealed for finding a solution, while the strike showed no signs of ending any soon, since the outgoing miners were replaced by their colleagues.

ACR has not given its stance regarding this new movement of the miners, who will continue to keep the gallery blocked.
