The scheme that compensates the VAT for farmers through agricultural and commercial products, will change.

A new instruction of the Ministry of Finances decided that the 20% VAT will be credited to firms that buy products from farmers through banks.

The VAT reimbursement scheme aims to help farmers by paying their 20% VAT. But things are linked and the buyers are in the center. The budget compesnates the VAT to farmers through the buyers.

For every purchase, merchants will automatically be issued with a bill that will have the puchase price and a 20% VAT. They have paid this 20% to farmers, who will receive it from the State Treasury by handing over the purchase bill.

The Tax Office and the Ministry of Finances say that the scheme started deforming and VAT was being taken by merchants unfairly. To avoid this abuse, the Tax Office and the Treasury will reimburse only the payments realized through banks.
