After failed turnout in referendum, Zaev: “Now it is up to the Parliament. No backing down”

Although the referendum in Macedonia failed to reach the 50% turnout, 90% of those who attended, have voted in favour of the agreement with Greece.
The Prime Minister of Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, said that the referendum was successful, despite the turnout.
He said that the government will not step back, since the citizens’ vote obligates him to take the procedure to the Parliament.
If the Parliament will not secure 2/3rd of the votes, there could be extraordinary elections, for which, according to Zaev, the last week of November would be perfect.
