Action against piracy

“I believe that it is important for all of you, since you have a high
culture with lot of restraint, and you cannot give it for free, so you
have to deal with it. If Albania is discussing this now, you need to
address to Commissioner Barnier, which is working on this and can give
more help. People who have these capacities want to make a profit from
it, and the copyright is very important. Every country has a copyright
law, but we live in a limitless space and the internet has free
electronic books, and so on. So, we need to have a harmonized copyright.
Commissioner Barnier is working on this, but it is very difficult,
because the copyright includes many areas. If we speak about the
copyrights on music, we might listen a very low music in the documentary
and it could cost 600.000 EUR. I think we need to find a common
practice that might work and give authors what they deserve to profit.
This is our culture and if the content is not paid, you cannot have
it”,  declared the European MP, Doris Pack.

While piracy and copyrights are among the conditions set for the EU integration, this phenomenon has made the police focusing on it and blocking a series of cable TVs and individuals who work with illegal piracy.
