The ACR miners have not returned to their working places yet. They
worked only for some hours after the tragic accident that killed one
miner and wounded eight others, and then work was interrupted.

The Mine Inspection and Salvation Department is continuing the inspections in the galleries, while the miners have not received neither the 13th wage and nor a single wage in four months of strike, different to what they had agreed with the ACR.

The Prosecution has not found the causes of the accident yet. After a meeting of the syndication leaders, Kol Nikolla and Taf Koleci, was fired the head of the Mine Syndication, Dilaver Perkoxha, and was replaced by Kujtim Alliu. This change was followed by strong mutual accusations.

The MISD inspectors entered the galleries for inspecting the causes of the accident, after taking the declarations of the witnesses.

A gas leak caused an explosion and killed 1 miner and wounded 8 others, and it is up to the Prosecution to give the final version for the causes of the accident. Until now, MISD has taken administrative measures against the ACR Company administrators.

The ACR Company fired the ventilation chief and has given a warning to the ventilation chief for Level 16.

MISD inspectors say that one of the causes is the fact that the mine was closed for several months, after the miners’ strike, and that the galleries will be reconstructed in order to start working even at level 23.
